that's the title of a scholarly book in the library about chocolate -- my nemesis -- which speaks to the power and influence of this deeply entrenched, ubiquitous food.
Day 4 continued...
lunch: leftover shrimp and fresh broc
snack: pecan larabar with almond butter
CFE/WOD!
shoulda forced myself to eat 1HBE. was hungry by the time i finished CFE and started WOD, and very hungry by time i ate dinner. i did a cfe w/ k, d and jenn. then wod. i PR'd. :D 88 lb bench press. did the requisite GHDs and oh my!! i felt v nauseated when done. though i bounced back somewhat after dinner, the ick lingered. for dinner i had chicken on mixed greens w tomatoes, fresh lemon, a little olive oil, avocado, flax seed, and crystal hot sauce. i love hot sauce!!! i needed some flavor. was craving salt. i fiercely YEARNED for potato and cheese and bread last night. but resisted, despite the fact that eric was stuffing his face with highly desirable food: pizza. i licked it. that was all. :) i also had six squares of dark choc. w almonds. my dinner was v good. i know hot sauce has salt and vinegar in it. am thinking of making my own HS. all i need is cayenne (yum!) vinegar, and sea salt. perhaps i could use apple cider vinegar? a little hot sauce goes a long way flavor-wise, so i felt good about my food yesterday.
