wherefore art thou, Calgon?

Sunday, Day 28:

Slept so long. So tired from stress-induced lack of sleep. Awoke in afternoon to news of houseguests. ran errands, including Fresh Market. returned home to speed cleaning, then houseguests.

Meal 1: [missed breakfast entirely because of 10 hour sleep-fest the night before]
moes: salad sans shell. lettuce, salsa, chicken, cucumber, black olives, green peppers, cilantro

snack: banana & two beers & a few strawberries

meal 2: paleo meatloaf w clean red sauce; i ate one piece of cheese. i presented house guests with crackers and cheese and strawberries; i was naughty.

not at all happy with cheese consumption, albeit one small piece, and 2 beers. although i am OK with drinking 2 beers every now and then, i don't like that beer is wheat based for the sake of my health, not to mention the fact that i ~am~ in a contest. :) next weekend i will remember this weekend and be a good girl.

Today (Monday) Day 29:

v. tired. up til 2 am talking. was nice, but am feeling the work pressure. just found out i have a HUGE deadline this wed. am so behind in everything i want to run away. or run into a padded room and bounce myself off the walls whilst screaming fuck at the top of my lungs.

meal 1: banana and walnuts and green tea. NO HONEY. FLYING out of house. had two classes today. thank goodness i made the meatloaf last night, despite the mockery.

meal 2: paleo meatloaf w clean red sauce

snack: walnuts

off to crossfit, then home to make dinner and toil away.

crossfit -- made me feel better! i PR'd, too. :) my former PR for back squats: 98 lbs. new record as of tonight: 108 lbs. Huzzah!

meal 3: fresh yellowfin tuna cooked with fresh garlic and onion; fresh spinach, onion, garlic, and red bell pepper = yum!

am having serious cravings for v. naughty sweets right now. i haven't had ANY honey or sugar today save for the morning banana. discipline! am doing well. but dang, are cakes looking good. images of sweet, decadent cakes are dancing in my head. and cakes aren't even my favorite. though i do dig on cupcakes. mmm, cupcakes. deep breaths! but i want i want i want i want.

the gluten free beer at Pizza Fusion is pretty good- maybe they have at Total Wine??

OMG you got it bad. um, let's see: well, how about one of the more naughty larabars dipped in ab? OR: Zone bar in ab (or maybe no ab if that's a non-craver)...OR: get Patty's Paleo banana bread recipe. I wonder if there is some way to do a 7-min icing and keep it Paleo....egg whites, cream of tartar, and then to sweeten it, maybe honey or stevia? Not sure if that wrecks the consistency or not...check for recipes for the 7min icing- old school- my mother used to make all the time...let me know what you come up with!!
